Press Release 2nd workshop_4thGLV

On June 18, 2025, the feedback workshop for the Erasmus+ project entitled CicloSchools, in which the 4th High School of Volos participates, was successfully held. The school principal, Mr. Nikolaos Ioannidis and the person in charge of the initiative, Ms. Ino Koroboki from the Stimmuli educational organisation, welcomed the Director of Secondary Education, Mr. Socrates Savelidis, the Science Education Advisor for Magnesia, Mr. Evangelos Diakoumis, the Head of Educational Affairs, Ms. Rigo Fasourakis, the teachers who teach at the school, as well as science teachers from the 4th Gymnasium of Volos.

Participants were asked to evaluate the pedagogical adequacy of the lesson plans that have already been produced during the implementation of the program and to contribute their ideas and suggestions for their improvement, as they will be the final recipients and those who will implement them in the classroom. The meeting was highly productive, as useful conclusions were drawn and perspectives were recorded that will lead to the improvement of the deliverables.

The European CicloSchools project aims to raise awareness and enrich students’ knowledge about the circular economy, which is a key point for changing environmental attitudes due to the changes brought about by accelerating climate change. The project is coordinated by Eindhoven University of Technology and aims to produce educational teaching materials that are compatible with students’ knowledge and skills, so that they can be integrated into the curriculum. The 4th Lyceum is one of three European schools where targeted teaching interventions will be implemented, and their students will participate in a knowledge hackathon to be held at the school.
