Module 2 Sustainable Consumption, Production and Waste Management
Module 3 Circular Business Models and the role of entrepreneurship and innovation in the circular economy
Module 4 CicloHackathon
Module 5 Reflection
This module introduces students to the fundamental principles of the Circular Economy (CE), contrasting it with the traditional linear economy. Through real-world case studies, students explore the environmental, economic, and social benefits of shifting towards circular models. The module also emphasizes resource management and the role of sustainability in modern economies.
This module focuses on the impact of consumption habits and production systems on the environment. Students explore sustainable alternatives, from eco-design to ethical consumerism. The module also emphasizes waste management strategies like composting, upcycling, and circular product design.
This module introduces students to circular business models and the role of entrepreneurship in sustainability. By analyzing real-world startups and companies, students explore how businesses create value while reducing waste. The module also fosters problem-solving and innovation by challenging students to design their own circular business ideas.
This module provides a dynamic approach to promoting sustainability through an action-oriented approach, a hackathon, inspiring students to engage with and become aware of the CE challenges their community may face.
This module is a reflection module which can be used after one of the previous modules. This module focuses on cultivating a deeper understanding of the circular economy by encouraging students to reflect on their knowledge, actions, and the broader implications of sustainability. Through introspection and analysis, students will connect theoretical concepts with practical applications, fostering a personal and meaningful engagement with the circular economy.
